About Me

A journey from self-healing to empowering others

I could have easily settled with the fact that I was always going to feel low, or anxious. However, I don't think anyone should have to settle for poor mental health so I decided I would do everything in my power to at least try to make myself feel better.

Mindfulness has always been a part of my life without me realising. Being able to ground myself and focus on the present was often the only way I could find relief from my own mind. It is a tool that can be used every single day and a skill that is constantly being developed. My greatest joy is being able to share how this is done with others. Training to be a mindfulness instructor was truly transformational for myself, as well as being able to learn how to guide others through their own mindfulness journey.

My love of movement began with ballet at the age of 2. For 16 years I danced competitively both nationally and internationally in contemporary, ballet and modern dance. After I left at 18, I began yoga with the sole aim of filling the dance shaped hole in my heart, not realising that it would be as transformative for my mental health as my physical health. The ability to find a sense of stillness and calm of the mind whilst also challenging your body is what makes yoga truly unique. I qualified to teach yoga the day we went into lockdown and have been sharing my love for it since then.

I have struggled with my own mental health on and off for over 13 years. I understand exactly how it feels to be constantly exhausted by your own mind.

Mindfulness paired with yoga and meditation is my escape from reality.

A break from the burden and pressures of everyday life. We cannot control what happens to us but we can control how prepared we are to deal with the unknown. I strongly believe that having ways to relax your mind and body are crucial in a society that appears to be run on cortisol and adrenaline. I hope to be able to guide and support you through your journey to finding calm amongst the chaos.
